Hst Proposal Id #5611 Solar System Extrasolar Planets

Scientific paper

The proposed research is a search for planets of nearby stars. The technique involves use of the Planetary Camera with narrow and wide band pass filters to photometrically measure the presence of resolved dark companions. The exposures are calculated to provide 70000 electrons per pixel at 1.2 arcsec from the target stars. Multiple exposures will be required. This proposal describes observations of Epsilon Eridani only for early scheduling. The remainder of the the program is decribed in proposal 5132.
