The pre-COSTAR diode-to-diode variation and photocathode non- uniformities of the FOS detectors were well-determined for spectra obtained through the single apertures via the the superflat technique that produces a template super-flux energy distribution of a relatively featureless stellar spectrum at the instrumental resolution of the 4.3 aperture. Since instrumental resolution will have changed dramatically post-COSTAR for the 4.3 aperture, we must obtain new super-flux spectra. IT MUST BE EMPHASIZED that these super-flat observations need be obtained only ONCE per STAR in the post-COSTAR era. In future cycles, only routine traditional S/N=200 observations will be required for comparison with these super-spectra.
