Solar models which could possibly solve the solar neutrino problem without incorporating neutrino oscillations are discussed. In particular it is found that it is possible to have solar models with rapid differential rotation and low surface oblateness, if one allows for the presence of strong toroidal magnetic fields with the proper configuration.
