The authors present high-quality Hα and NaD line profiles (resolution about 13 km s-1) of four FU Orionis objects. The profiles indicate strong and cool stellar winds, accelerated very close to the stellar surfaces to velocities of several hundred km s-1. An outward increasing temperature in the wind acceleration region is indicated. The derived wind properties are similar to those derived for other young stellar objects, suggesting a common wind acceleration mechanism.
