Episodic jet activity from the central engine of active galactic nuclei (AGN) has now been seen in many objects. Multi-frequency radio observation with the aid of the synchrotron aging theory provides a method of constraining the timescale of the recurrence of the jet activity by estimating the synchrotron age of the radio source. We present VLBI observation of the innermost and an outer lobe of 3C 84 (NGC 1275) at frequencies ranging from 330 MHz to 22.2 GHz. The synchrotron age of the inner lobe is estimated to be 24+14-5 yr in 1995, and that of an outer lobe is >3000 yr assuming the minimum-energy field. The synchrotron age of the inner lobe is consistent with the scenario that the inner lobe is formed by the 1959 outburst.
