Class 0 protostars are at the earliest detectable stage of stellar evolution, and due to the short lifetime of this stage, are probably the rarest of young stellar objects (YSOs). This investigation examines three candidate Class 0 objects in an attempt to determine whether or not any of them actually meet all of the criteria for this YSO class, which was first proposed by Andre,Ward-Thompson, and Barsony (1993, ApJ, 406, 122). We present new 12, 25, 60 and 100 mu m HIRES-processed IRAS images of three young stellar objects in the Perseus molecular cloud: L1448N/IRS3, L1448C, and IRAS 03282+3035. L1448N/IRS3 and L1448C are clearly resolved at all IRAS wavelengths. A point source modeling scheme combined with HIRES processing of the IRAS data was used to obtain improved flux values and upper limits. These values, together with JCMT and IRAM photometry, were used to plot spectral energy distributions (SEDs) and to derive bolometric luminosities, dust temperatures, and masses for the circumstellar dust clouds. In two cases, it was necessary to model an individual source using multiple input spikes in the simulation program, which may reflect the extended nature of these objects. We suggest that both L1448 objects are older than previously reported, possibly borderline Class I YSOs, and that the results for IRAS 03282+3035 are consistent with a true Class 0 protostar.
