I will present an overview of the status of the MACHO project, including interesting constraints on the nature of the dark halo of the Galaxy. The MACHO project has now detected over 100 candidate microlensing events, and many instances of "exotic" microlensing that give rise to fine structure in the light curves. The routine detection of microlensing in real time has allowed us (and others) to carry out intensive observatios of ongoing lensing events, which is particularly valuable for the "exotic" events.
