We have used 15749 galaxies in the Las Campanas Redshift Survey, the largest imaging and spectroscopic survey of nearby galaxies to date, to investigate the influence of non-cluster environment on the star formation properties of galaxies. We find that environmental effects exist outside the cluters, in such a way that galaxies at higher galaxy densities exhibit reduced star formation compared to the galaxies at lower density of the same morphological type.
