Scientific paper

A photopolarimetric system built around a one-dimensional CCD is described. Examples are shown of using this instrument to solve the following astrophysical problems: polarization observations of Jupiter, constructing maps of the physical characteristics of the lunar surface, and obtaining images of the Sun in the K Ca II, Hα, and He I 10830 Å spectral lines.
