Filtering of charged cosmic rays arriving through the geomagnetic field is evaluated from the results of numerical integration performed on a large number of randomly selected trajectories. The random procedure follows a consequence of Liouville theorem. It takes into account the shape of the external spectrum and the geometrical conditions of the experiment. After rejecting the forbidden trajectories, it is possible to predict the shape of an experimental spectrum if the response curve and the dispersion of the detector are known. The isotopic composition can then be deduced from a comparison between computed and measured spectra. The time required for a given precision is computed as an example, in the case of a possible experiment.
