The inverse Compton (IC) scattering of relativistic electrons is considered as the most probable mechanism for production of γ-rays above 1GeV in the Crab Nebula. However, while for the supposed average magnetic field in the Crab Nebula B_0_=~3x10^-4^G the IC γ-ray flux at TeV energies F_IC_(>1TeV)=~10^-11^cm^-2^/s agrees with the measured one, the predicted flux of GeV γ-rays, F_IC_(>1GeV)=~10^-8^cm^-2^/s, is by factor of 5 below of the flux reported by EGRET. We discuss other mechanisms for explanation of the observed γ-radiation at GeV energies. We propose a hypothesis that the GeV γ-ray flux observed by EGRET is due to enhancement of the bremsstrahlung of the ``radio'' electrons partially captured in the dense filaments in the Crab Nebula.
