The introduction of Hellenistik astrology and astronomy into India and
the development of Hindu classical astronomy are discussed. When India
was influenced by Hellenism, there was a kind of blending of traditional
Indian astronomy. After that, Hindu classical astronomy was established,
the tradition of which has been maintained till now in India.
