The COMPTEL observations from mission phases 1-3 have been combined to construct the first-ever all-sky image of the 1.809MeV gamma-ray line from radioactive ^26^Al. We present the database and its exposure coverage, as well as the approach to derive a proper background model for the combination of the ~100 different pointings. Features of the map are compared to earlier results, global characteristics are described along with limitations of the map. Significant extended and compact emission regions are listed with their proposed counterparts. The implications of this image for the origin of ^26^Al are discussed.
