Three-body trajectory integration and analytic calculation are presently used to evaluate the accretion rate and capture probability of planetesimals in Keplerian motion, with a view to the accretion conditions of planets, satellites, and ring particles. The analytic results and the numerical results obtained by trajectory integrations show good agreement; on the basis of these results, in conjunction with experimental data for the restitution coefficient of ice, a critical mass of icy satellites is calculated above which they accrete by means of gravitational force. Attention is also given to the capture probability for collision between planetary ring particles.
