Several pulsars were observed for the purpose of obtaining the spectral index of an unpulsed component. No unpulsed emission was detected. Two of the pulsars are thought to be nearly aligned rotators where the line of sight to the observer remains within the beam of emission. Another pulsar, PSR 2016+28, was found to have an apparently unassociated background point source 13".5 to the south east, and another, PSR 1604-00, is located in a region of many background sources. We conclude that for these two nonaligned pulsars, previous reports of unpulsed emission are due to confusion with background sources.
