We guide the user through the process of "defringing" STIS G750L and G750M spectra with central wavelength > 7000 Å, as accomplished by four IRAF tasks available in the stsdas.hst_calib.stis package. We discuss all relevant task parameters and their meaning. Finally, flow charts of the calibration steps performed in the different tasks are presented in an Appendix.
