Crab Nebula: Air Showers, Muons: Air Showers

The integral spectrum of muons produced from the interactions of energetic Crab Nebula emitted gamma rays with the atmosphere has been derived. The calculated integral number of muons as a function of muon energy for the chosen values has been found comparable with the expected results of Drees et al. The present photo induced muon spectrum is found to be much lower than that obtained from proton initiated EAS muon spectrum obtained by Gaisser (1990).
