Scientific paper

The paper deals with the problem of determining the optimal trajectory of a mass point with a limited mass loss per second in the gravitational field of two fixed centers. The analysis is carried out in rectangular system of coordinates with the origin at one of the centers and the z-coordinate running through the other center. The analysis is limited to the problem of minimizing the characteristic velocity for a limiting version of the problem of two fixed centers.
