The paper examines redshift distribution in extragalactic objects and evolution in galaxies. Histograms were plotted between the number and the redshift for the five classes of extragalactic objects: the QSO's, N-galaxies, Seyfert galaxies, radio galaxies, and normal galaxies to determine if the study of redshift distribution can provide a picture of their evolutionary sequence. It was found that the highest peaks in the histograms occur at distinctly different redshifts and that sufficient overlap occurs in the redshift ranges of (1) QSO's and N-galaxies, (2) N-galaxies and Seyfert galaxies, (3) Seyfert and radio galaxies, and (4) radio and normal galaxies. These results suggest that the extragalactic subjects may be evolving in the sequence QSO's, N-galaxies, Seyfert galaxies, radio galaxies, and normal galaxies.
