Scale-covariant theory of gravitation introduces an extra term in the
virial theorem. Mass-to-light ratios of groups of galaxies are reduced
to typically 20-70 solar units. An interpretation is given of the
observed correlations of mass-to-light ratios with velocity dispersions
and virial radii.
