A 22 x 36-arcsec region in M8, including Herschel 36 and the Hourglass, has been mapped with 4.5-arcsec spatial resolution at 11.1 microns. Emission has been detected from Herschel 36 and from an extended area including the Hourglass. Two new infrared sources have been found associated with the Hourglass; one has a deep absorption attributed to silicate dust.
