Synthetic spectra have been computed and compared with the S59
observations of Beta Carinae (Al IV) and Delta Velorum (AOV). The
microturbulences determined for these fairly rapidly rotating stars do
not appear to be higher than in slow rotators of similar spectral type
although there is some suggestion that it increases with optical depth.
