New trigonometric parallaxes are reported for ten bright, southern late-type MK giants ranging in spectral type from K0 to M3.5. The list includes HR 794, 1247, 2245, 2773, 3518, 3803, 5287, 5603, 6832, and 6913. The modern parallaxes are compared with earlier results, and the luminosity calibration for these stars is discussed. A list of giants is presented containing the best prospects for future parallax work on late-type MK giants.
