Two problems are discussed in this paper: the first, how to estimate the beamwidth of the emission cone, and the second, where does the line of sight sweep over the emission cone. According to the geometrical relationship of the polar cap model, the authors give formulae of these parameters from observational data of polarization and apparent beamwidth. The computed results have been compared with the RS model.
