The mass of the nucleus of comet Halley is evaluated from the lag between successive perihelion passages and "jet propulsion" effect created by the mass outflow from the nucleus. A mass of ≡3×1011t was found for the nominal model of the outflow. This value combined with the volume defined by the Vega-1 and Vega-2 TV data lead to the average density of the nucleus 0.6 g cm-3.
