The electrophotometric observations of Vesta were carried out in September 1986 during seven successive nights within the time intervals from 4.5 to 5.3 hours. From these data the reliable mean light curves were plotted separately for even and odd 5h.342 cycles. A comparison of these light curves has shown their coincidence in all details as well as in their amplitudes. It gives a good reason to suppose that the true period of the Vesta rotation is equal to the period of brightness variations (5h.342) but not twice as much.
