OH absorption in the source W 22 is caused by three separate clouds with radial velocities of 5.9, -4.5, and -11 km/sec. The two clouds with negative radial velocities are comparable in size with the H II regions G 353.1+0.6 and G 353.2+0.9 and are situated close to these regions, coinciding with dark, absorbing clouds. The cloud with the positive radial velocity has the largest angular dimensions and is located at the smallest kinematic distance, probably coincident with a spiral arm.
