A review of the current state of investigations into the chemical and
dynamical evolution of the Galaxy is presented. Attention is given to
the dynamic concepts of Lindblad and Oort, nucleogenesis, and the most
recently proposed models of the chemical composition of the universe as
a function of time and space.
