The eclipsing binary system RR Lyncis is examined on the basis of six light curves analysed by means of iterative optimization techniques. An optimal resultant set of geometric elements for the system is obtained. It is established that there is third light in the system although there are model inadequacies, suggestive of intrinsic variability or circumstellar matter. It is proposed that a third star accounts for this third light and plausible distance limits for such an object are considered.
