A sample of 22 galactic radio H II regions has been searched for type I OH masers with the Nançay radiotelescope. Nine OH emission sources were observed, 4 of them being new detections. An analysis of the color indices of the IRAS point sources coincident with the radio continuum of selected H II regions is presented. They are typical of IRAS sources in star forming regions. In the [25-12]×[60-25] diagram, the IRAS point sources in H II regions with and without associated masers have different distributions of color indices. For the latter sources they are anticorrelated.
