The ZEBRA echelle spectrometer with a two-dimensional photon-counting system is described. The use of this system in conjunction with the main stellar spectrograph of the 6-meter telescope makes it possible to realize a dual-beam version of observations with recording of different spectral ranges by different detectors. Some examples of observations made with the ZEBRA instrument (a Seyfert galaxy, planetary nebulae, carbon stars, etc.) are mentioned.
