Simultaneous infrared and optical light curves of EM Cygni are reported. The infrared curves are dominated by ellipsoidal variations of the late-type star in the system, which must have spectral type near K2V. The distance to the system is estimated as approximately 320 pc and the accretion disk is shown to be close to the minimum size expected from angular-momentum considerations.
