Observational data on the peculiar gamma-ray source SG 195+4 are examined in the light of the proposition that there is a physical connection between this source and a supernova explosion of the year 437. It is found that the available data do not contradict the hypothesis that SG 195+4 is a supernova remnant associated with the explosion of 437. In the radio frequency range the object may be a weak analog of G 21.5-0.9. In the optical range it can appear as an extended object of 16-17 stellar magnitudes with a continuous spectrum.
