The H2CO emission associated with the ultracompact H II region IRS 1 near NGC 7538 has been mapped at a resolution of 0.5 arcsec with the VLA. The two velocity components at -57.9 and -60.1 km/s are spatially separated by 0.11 arcsec + or - 0.03 arcsec at position angle 35 + or - 25 deg. The size of each spot is smaller than 0.15 arcsec. The masers are offset from the peak continuum position by about 0.3 arcsec. The absolute positions of the masers and the H II region are accurate to about 0.1 arcsec. The relative positional accuracy is 0.02 arcsec. Circular polarization is less than 10%, and the maser intensity has not significantly varied since 1974. The lower limit on the equivalent brightness temperature of the maser spots is 500,000 K.
