Photoelectric H-beta photometry is presented for about 125 early-type stars in a 12-sq deg area centered at l = 114 deg, b = 1.5 deg. Most stars were previously measured in UBV. The study of the color excesses of the stars shows that a dust cloud covers part of the area. This cloud is situated about 1.5 kpc from the sun. Except for that cloud the only color excess found in the area originates within 1 kpc from the sun. The frequency maximum of OB stars is found between a distance of 2 and 4 kpc, which is the intersection with the Perseus arm.
