The excitation of electron acoustic oscillations in a two temperature plasma with ions much hotter than the electrons is examined. The possibility of these electrostatic oscillations driving short wavelength Alfven turbulence is investigated. Balance equations are derived for the spectral energy density for these two types of waves. Implications for the acceleration of relativistic electrons in the inner regions of two temperature accretion disks are discussed.
