Parameters of X-ray emission from WR + OB binaries predicted by theory are summarized. Considerable differences between parameters of the X-ray emission from the binary V444 Cygni observed and theoretically expected are discussed. It is suggested that the deceleration of the gas of the WR star's stellar wind and the X-ray absorption can result in the V444 Cygni's X-ray luminosity drop to the value observed.
