The gas-phase chemistry of sulfur-bearing molecules in dense interstellar clouds was investigated with special attention given to the newly discovered organic sulfur-containing species CnS, using a pseudotime-dependent model of sulfur chemistry. Results show that organic sulfur-bearing compounds are predicted to be abundant species, in agreement with previous observations of H2CS by Irvine et al. (1989) and C2S and C3S by Saito et al. (1987) and Yamamoto et al. (1987) in TMC-1.
