Millimeter-wave spectroscopy and infrared spectra from the IRAS Low Resolution Spectrometer of the two carbon stars RAFGL 2233 and RAFGL 2901 are presented. For both stars the HCN spectra show the high outflow velocities seen in CO emission, which suggest that these stars are likely candidates for binary systems with carbon-rich circumstellar shells. An accretion disk surrounding the secondary is probably the best candidate for the source of energy required to accelerate the gas to the observed velocities.
