To date, all probes of strong gravity involve the measurement of
radiation emitted by accretion flows and jets. Can these inherently
complex, time-dependent flows be characterized well enough to be used as
diagnostics of spacetime geometry? I will discuss the attempts that have
already been made and prospects for future experiments.
