Relativistic flows in the forms of jets and winds are common in many astrophysical settings. The high energy phenomena observed in microquasars, AGN and GRBs are linked in one way or another to relativistically moving plasmas. The distinct feature of relativistic flows is the effective acceleration of particles at different stages of their evolution - at formation of jet close to the central engine, during their propagation on large scales, and at the termination shock fronts. I will discus some of these issues in the context of the recent exciting discoveries of very high energy gamma-rays from blazers and their scale down analogs - microquasars.
