The advanced X-ray satellites equipped with high sensitivity X-ray detectors have improved the detection and identification of high-energy transient sources. These X-ray observations have enabled astronomers to observe and follow transients over the entire spectrum and study their time-critical variability in detail. Of these sources, the X-ray binary systems show particular behavior at radio wavelengths when they change from one X-ray spectral state to another. This behavior can be studied with high sensitivity ATCA and e-VLBI observations for Southern Hemisphere objects. The main goals of this project are: (1) to be able to detect X-ray binary transients in their radio flaring state so as to study the state transitions, in particular, transitions into the low-hard X-ray state that is linked to relativistic jet production; (2) on the basis of the outcome of these observations, utilise the e-VLBI capability of LBA to resolve and image the objects with high resolution.
