We observed the Type IIn SN 2008es (Yuan et al., CBET 1462) with the Very Large Array on Sep 2.70 and 5.69 UT at frequencies of 8.46 and 22.5 GHz, respectively. No radio counterpart is detected at either frequency. We place formal upper limits (flux density plus 2-sigma) on the radio emission at the optical SN position of 0.068 mJy (8.46 GHz) and 0.108 mJy (22.5 GHz), respectively. We thank the VLA scheduling committee for approving these rapid response observations.
