We study galaxies in and around the distant cluster RXJ1716 (z=0.81) using deep and panoramic optical to mid-infrared imaging data obtained with Suprime-Cam on Subaru and IRC on the AKARI satellite. We find that the cluster member candidates detected at 15~μm are preferentially found in medium-density environments such as subclumps or filaments around the cluster. This suggests that the star-formation activity in galaxies is enhanced in those regions due to some environmental effects specific to such medium-density environments. This is before it is completely truncated as a consequence of quick gas consumption and/or removal.
