We use the stellar population synthesis model of the Galaxy, developed in Besançon, along with the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) to constrain the Galactic structure of the external disk, and in particular the warp. The external disk parameters such as its scale length and the slope of the warp are adjusted by comparing 2MASS star counts with the simulated ones from the Galactic model. In order to properly interpret the observations, the simulated stars are reddened using a three dimensional extinction map. We derive new parameters for the stellar warp and find it to be asymmetric.
