We present most recent radio data related to the investigation of magnetic fields in the disk and the halo of the Milky Way. A combination of information from optical polarization studies, radio continuum polarization surveys as well as rotation measure data of pulsars and extragalactic radio sources is needed to understand the direction, strength and regularity of the magnetic field. Due to our position inside the Galaxy 3D-modeling is required. We discuss recent efforts to model the magnetized interstellar medium in the Galaxy.
