We discuss the propagation of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) in the weak random intergalactic magnetic field. We give estimates of the angular deflections of UHECRs from the line of sight to the source, time delays relative to photons, arrival spectra and source statistics. These are confirmed by numerical simulations of UHECR propagation which correctly treat the discrete energy losses due to photo-pion production on the cosmic microwave background. We discuss implications of these results for the observed flux of particles above the Greisen-Zatsepin- Kuzmin cutoff in two proposed scenarios of UHECR production: continuous acceleration at large shock waves and impulsive production in gamma-ray bursters.
