Bayesian inference is applied to photometric redshift estimation. The
resulting method offers a significant improvement over existing
techniques. There is an excellent agreement between the ~100 1 < z
< 6 HDF spectroscopic redshifts and the predictions of this method,
with a rms error Delta z = 0.18 and no outliers.
