Recent BeppoSAX results on some BL Lac objects (Mkn 501, Mkn 421 and PKS 2155-304) will be reviewed. These sources showed unprecedented spectral states and variability behaviour. Together with simultaneous data at other frequencies, including GeV and TeV gamma-ray observations, the results allow to put strong constraints on jet emission models and on particle accelerations mechanisms.
