We study the bimodel distribution of the duration of GRBs from publicly available BATSE lightcurves. We propose two quantities, i.e. the duration and the peak-peak interval which are defined dependent on the normalized flux, and calculate these quantities of each BATSE gamma-ray burst from available BATSE GRB lightcurves. We show the distribution of the duration and the interval and discuss on the origion of the bimodel distribution of the duration of gamma-ray burst.
